震災直後からドイツで募金活動を行って長きにわたって被災地の子供達のために支援をしていただいている John Görmann 氏から，震災9年目のお見舞いのメッセージが届きました。
本当は2020年4月に息子さんとともに来日して仙台で義援金贈呈式を行う予定でしたが，COVID-19の世界的感染拡大によって来日を断念されました。
これまでもGörmann 氏は2回被災地を訪れていらっしゃいます。そのたびにドイツの皆様の暖かいお気持ちと共に弊会にご寄付をお寄せいただいております。
またいずれの日にか，お目にかかれることを楽しみにしてお待ちしようと思います。

Dear Shiwaku-Sensei, dear Sawada-Sensei,
First of all we want to express our deeply heartfelt empathy on occasion of the 9th anniversary of the Tôhoku earthquake and tsunami from March 11th 2011. I think that the entire nation in Japan will experience this day with mixed feelings and full of emotions. Our thoughts are with you and we will pray for all of you in Northeast Japan.
